Reach for the Sky

Posted by Darren (Tokyo, Japan) on 8 June 2007 in Architecture and Portfolio.

This is one of my favourite building in Japan and it can be found in Shinjuku a district of Tokyo. The ride to the top is free which a real treat considering that many things in this big city cost a fortune to do or see. The view from the top can be spectacular especially in the winter season.
I took this photo last week when I was taking my Japanese friend in a tour of Tokyo. Feels a little strange when being the foreigner and teaching the city sites to the locals. Japanese people need to open their eyes and just realize the beauty they have in their own backyard before looking abroad.

PS. If you like my shots and have a spare moment I'd really appreciate some love on VFXY
