An image I tried to rescue. Was a pretty terrible image to start but had some potential.

Well, I like ALL shots taken from planes, so I like this too. If you hadn't mentioned Cairns, I wouldn't be straining to spot the city lights, - leave out Cairns, call it something else - eg. the name of the aircraft model - Boeing 727 etc - or something about that hole in the clouds - or "late for dinner" etc etc - any more of these (please!).

cool take Darren. Its satisfying to rescue stuff like this isnt it. It's turned out rather splendidly if you ask me. Those clouds are simply lovely, they have a watercolour feeling to them.

Ah, Photo 911, very good save. Some of my favorite shots started out as duds. Some of them still are duds, but there is something exhilerating about taking a washed out picture that would normally have been tossed, fix it up a little and Poof! There is the masterpiece you had intended all along!
