Just another angle of yesterdays boat. Thanks for you comments and tips.
Cheers Daz

I love the lighting in this - evening? or just overcast and smoggy? I wonder why the poor boat is lying there, unemployed...abandoned.

@Bronnie: Thanks Bronnie. It was taken in the afternoon on an weird day with clouds in the north and blue skies to the south. I enhanced the lighting effects in PS and also darkened in areas to bring more focus to the boat.
This photo offers a story and many questions! Lovely light and atmosphere.

@Manuela Photography: Thanks Manuela. I haven't seen this boat on the water and I wonder who owns it. It's not even locked.
Darren, I love this shot, love the tones and and the lighting, very picture perfect with the boat. Lovely

@Suby: Thanks Suby. Yours portrait shot today is also absolutely beautiful mate.
Fabulous. I can picture this in a sailing club or on surgery walls.

@Helen: Thanks Helen. I should give a copy to my sailing club for their wall.
Love the colours. Great composition.

@Pero: Thanks Pero.
I find it a little dark....Was that intentional?
5 Feb 2007 7:58am
@Shuva Brata Deb: It is a little dark. The original is really bright but I felt it needed to be darkened to gove the feeling of abandoned. I've had a few dark images of recent, I might start to post a few bright ones after tomorrows.
I really love the composition of the photo, the way you've framed it my eyes are moving all over the picture. I love the tones and textures too. Very nice job Darren!

@Duncan Galbraith: Thanks Duncs.
Really a good second one! I don´t know which to choose... Very good done and thought!

@adalove: Thanks Adalove. I thought I liked yesterdays more but this one is growing on me.
Another great shot mate, treatments is spot-on again; this one has more of a sense of nostalgia about it. Great little series. Sorry about not responding to your question, I removed the image and then uploaded again and the comment went a bit strange when I checked this morning - I didn't know the guy in the shot, just one of the people who hand out Socialist-Weekly newspapers outside the Nike store on Friday evenings.
Haha see what I mean *login-logout* ?

@Chris Sullivan: Thanks Chris. Nostaligia seems to be the feeling a few people are getting from this image, maybe I should change the title to Arakawa Nostalgia. I was having problems with it too mate. Could get on to the AM3 website for some time.
This reminds me of something you would see at an Art Museaum. Beautiful work.

@jennifer radio: Maybe not that beautiful. Thanks for your support Jennifer.
Incredible shot. Great processing once again.

Unusual subject in that field! The gloomy lighting in the background contrasts well with the whiteness of the boat's belly.

This is a really great photo! sort of lets the viewer think about what the photographer was thinking when taking the photo? childhood? abandoned? nice shot that jolts thoughts. (:
