Took this shot riding home from my gym. It's not a very clean river but it's still a beautiful place to look at.
Hope you like what I have done with it, as usual photoshop is helping with these images.
Look forward to you comments and advice.
Cheers Daz

love the partial desturation Darren. It lens the image a bleakness the location perhaps deserves. Quite a sad little scene in its way, the upturned and battered minow amongst his bigger brothers.

@Duncan Galbraith: Thank Duncan. I felt the partial desaturation was necessary for this one as this boat was just sitting there all neglected. I'm glad you unerstood what I was trying to do with the image.
another wonderful compelling image Darren! love the tones!

@Jerry: Thanks Jerry.
I like the idea, the area looks interesting so take more pictures. Conserning this particular image I think the boat occupies to much space in the frame? Regards D

@Dimitrios: Thanks Dimitrios. I will certainly go back to this spot in better lighting. The sunshine was a little too harsh when I took this photo. I was worried that the boat took up too much of the frame so I did take another aswell and it will be posted tomorrow. Thanks for the advice always appreciated. Cheers Daz
Love the colors,a unique old mood from this image,Amazing !

@Kheoh Yee Wei: Thanks mate. Glad you like it mate.
The processing is very good, it's an interesting scene and like Duncan said the desaturation lends itself over to a sense of bleakness, but it's not over done as there's still an quaintness to this photo. Very nicely handled!

@Chris Sullivan: Thanks Chris. I tried not to over do it. There is a point durig the PP when we have to ask ourselves am I pushing it too far? When you start to think this is when we are about to push it too far, that's when I apply my final touch.
Very well done with the processing. You've managed to capture this really well. A thought provoking shot...

@Angry Buddha: Thanks mate. I've been spending a little too much time in PS recently so I hope my skills improve. I still need a lot of work, slow and steady. I actually had a play around with an old image that I PS 4mths ago and had another go at it and noticed a big difference.
Really like the desat'd look here. Am also enjoying your experimentation with the framing - I haven't tried that. It's done in photoshop? Nice work, mate!

@Stu: Thanks Stu. I've been working on the framing and all done in photoshop mate. I think it helps the presentation of the images especially the darker ones I've been posting recently.
An interesting image and as your habit a nice post processing.
