The Buddha

Well this is another photo I took ages ago with my little digital so be gentle on the crit.
Many photo's of this Buddha have been seen all over the web and I just hope you are not bored of it.

It's a magnificent b and w Darren. Nothing to worry about with this one. The angle, the tree - you really made the Buddha dominate.

I think this is a great shot mate. I'd like to see what we can do now if we took a treck back up there. It'd be sweet to get it this season if there was a light cover of snow on the daibutsu.

It actually snowed there 2 weeks ago mate and they usually only get snow there once a year so maybe next year for the snow.

It the Daibutsu in Kamakura the old Capital (Kanagawa Prefecture).
An hour ride from Tokyo or 20-30mins from Yokohama. The map at the station makes the Buddha look really near but it's not that close, about a half hour on foot.
