Hey man, sorry Ive been awol recently but you know New Years mate...crazy. I'm well up for this series I can tell you. Magnificent animals aren't they, he looks almost regal, surveying his subjects with perhaps indifference. It'll be interesting to see were this one goes, as I'm (as are many people) in two minds about the whole zoo conundrum...sad and fascinating in turn. Have a great New Year Darren, dont get too drunk, and roll on 2007...9 hours and counting!

It's a double edged sword. It's a beautiful shot of a beautiful animal. The whole zoo thing jars with me a liitle bit on a personal basis, and I can't decide if the expression is one of total resignaton or not...

I really like the warm hue of its fur against the cold of the snow and bars. Great shot.
