School Yard 02

Posted by Darren (Tokyo, Japan) on 27 December 2006 in Architecture.

Well decided to put another school yard shot up. This time you can see the children playing a game where they have to throw this huge ball around the circle.
I split this photo into 2 layer the desaturated the top layer. After desaturating the top layer I selected the ball using the pen tool. Once selecting all of the ball I used the eraser to show the red ball. At this point it looked ready to be flattened but the edge of the ball was a little to sharp so I used the desturation sponge to smooth out the edges of the ball then I flattened the image. Then to get rid of the distracting reflections in the glass windows of the building I ran the burn tool over them as this has no effect on the white walls and only darker tones (my tip I found by experimentation)
Finally a small adjustment to the perspective then finished. Total work time 30 minutes.
