Glass River Tokyo

This is taken from bridge between my house and the movie theatre I frequent. The locals thought I must have been strange pulling my camera out of my bag at some random point to take a photo. One guy even said to me as he was passing by that he didn't realise how beautiful it actually was from this bridge. It will be funny next time if I go over this bridge and I see the same guy taking photo's in the future. Anyway I look forward to your comments and advice if any. Daz

Had reactions like that too. It's funny how perpectives can be different. Someone I work with once took a look at some of my pictures (she is Japanese) : "A Japanese person would never take a picture like that!"

Fantastic shot mate!! Would like to see this if you purchased one of those cross filters to make the lights look like stars. I love how the river looks glassy!!

@Zahra: Thanks Zahra. The river actually continues for another kilometer in a straight line. It looks quite good with the naked eye.

The composition just doesn't work for me. There seems to be so much space in the middle and it tries to lead me somewhere.

@Ryan Yam: What I really wanted was to have a wider angled lens so I could get mote in the sides but due to low funding that wasn't possible. Any suggestions for the image?

Nice shot. I like the leading lines, but I think it would have been better if it was a bit underexposed.

@Dileep: Thanks Dileep. I liked the lines too how they lead to the horizon. To tell the truth I actually brightened this image up to try and get some more detail in the walk way to the right where the fisherman was standing but I might post the original again in the near future. Thanks for the constructive advice.
